2019 Annual General Meeting

On Tuesday 3rd December our show held their 2019 Annual General Meeting in The Lodge, Castlewellan.

Show secretary Jackie Fitzpatrick gave us an in-depth record of this years events and a summery of our very successful 2019 show. Mr Alan Cleland Show chairman gave his report of our 2019 show, and conveyed his thanks to the Jackie and all the committee for their continuous dedication to the smooth running of the show.

Our guest speaker was Mr Billy Martin with his wife Angela. Billy is the current President of The Royal Ulster Agricultural Society. Billy who farms with his son John a stones throw from the amazing Strangford Lough, told us stories of past experiences within show life in Northern Ireland. He told us a little about the different sites within Belfast City that Balmoral Show has had in the past, and the exciting plans for its future at Balmoral Park the new home of Balmoral Show, just outside Lisburn.

Billy acted as chairman for our election of show officers 2019/2020 which are as follows.
