And we are back .......

The management team & committee of Castlewellan Agricultural Show are delighted to be organising our 2022 show, to be held in the beautiful grounds of Castlewellan Forest Park on Saturday 16th July 2022. After a two year break due to Covid we are well and truly ready to promote our agri-food sector at our show, we can’t wait to see the cattle, sheep, goat, horse, pig trailers lined up the avenue at the park, adding a bit of normality to our lives at last.

We also have our amazing craft & food marquees promoting all that is ‘good’ about Northern Ireland artisan local foods and cottage crafts. Many people have enjoyed dabbling in the kitchen or learning a new craft over lockdown, some have been successful and so not so! we are giving you an opportunity to show off your new found talents, in our amazing home industries section, where you can enter baking, cooking, crafts, photography, flower arranging even scarecrows which will be judged by our team of experts on showday. Our vintage tea marquee ran by ‘Save the Children’ will be back too - it’s time we all enjoyed a cuppa and catch up with old friends.

Our sponsors remain a integral part of our show and we feel so assured by their continued support for our show even after many businesses have had a tough time trading during covid, we are indebted to them and would encourage you to support them when you can. We always welcome new sponsors and invite any businesses who would be interested in sponsoring the show or a show section to get in touch.

Our Livestock classes hopefully will be as busy as ever the rings full of the best livestock on show in the country. Our poultry marquee is usually buzzing and is a must see as there are many varieties of birds & eggs on display. All in all we are so looking forward to welcoming all our exhibitors & visitors to our show, we can’t wait to meet up with you all again and gave you a great family day out. Entries will open in mid May for all sections of the show. Applications for trade, stalls, craft, fine food are currently open.
