Show, Sun & Smiles galore at Castlewellan Agricultural Show.
Castlewellan Agricultural Show held their 52nd Annual show on Saturday 13th July in the beautiful grounds of Castlewellan Forest Park by kind permission of Daera.
The guests were Dr Dennis McMahon, Permanent Secretary for Agriculture for Norhern Ireland, and Newry, Mourne & Down District Council Vice-Chairman Terry Andrews.

With glorious sun the day began with exhibitors arriving early to get the showing classes underway, the craft and food stalls opened up for business displaying all the very best local food and amazing home crafts and art. There was Jiving this year for the first time which proved to be a very popular without a space on the dance floor all day. Ballyvalley Archery as ever encouraged visitors to have a go at Archery. Seaforde Vintage club had a threshing & vintage tractor display.
Trade and stalls were busy throughout the day. A visit to Save the Children vintage tea room was a must for afternoon tea @ Castlewellan Show. Mayobridge Farm Model exhibition was busy all day with children eyes wide with amazement with all the tractors and detailed farm models on display.
As an agricultural show they aim to promote & support agriculture our Cattle, Horse, Pig, Goats, Rabbit, Sheep, Poultry, Home Industries & Dog Agility all ran very successfully on the day.
